MY BAD!
Hey Harvest!
Well, for many weeks my wife has been telling me how illogical it is that the upcoming parenting seminar is $10 for individuals but $25 for couples. She recently confronted the organizer of the seminar to find out that it is actually $15 for individuals and $25 for couples: a sensible discount for bringing two instead of one. Where did she get the idea that individuals were only $10? Me.
Apparently I made a typo in the announcements that has been running for many weeks, brainwashing our congregation of the price mistake. Don’t let that keep you back from registering, though! Hope to see you there!
Here are this weeks (CORRECTED) announcements and notes to the sermon!
Byron
Church Finance Committee
The Church Finance Committee is in need of a volunteer accounting helper for 2010. The main work is to record the weekly offering/expense, do data entry, and collect bank statements and should take about 1 to 2 hours per week. An accounting background is not necessary but preferred. If you are interested in helping please contact Byron or Justin Kao.

Unfaithful
Follow My Lead: 1 Timothy 6:3-10
Exposition: Three Themes
1. The Crime: Disobedience to God’s Word
2. The Conviction: Wrong Motives: Love of Money
3. The Cure: Contentment in the Gospel
Preventing Unfaithfulness
1. Commit to No Compromise.
2. Be Clear on our Motives.
3. Be Content in Christ.
Weekly Application Exercises
1. Simplify your life in some way this week, not because simplicity makes you a godly person, but so it teaches you greater dependence and contentment in Christ if done with the correct attitude.
2. Take a few minutes to introspect concerning your wants: what products would you like to have, accompishments would you like to achieve, or changes would you like to implement and why? Are you rightly motivated or do you have motives that have gone unexamined?
