Hello Harvest South Bay!
In light of our section on Spiritual Disciplines, I would be willing to write some daily personal devotions for our congregation if there is enough interest. Just go ahead and shoot me off an email at my personal email (it’s on the cover of the bulletin and can be typed goodby, then the number “1″ followed by “@juno.com”). If any more than 2 people respond, I’ll do it! We’ll even do some Scripture memory on a weekly basis!
Anyway- here’s this week’s announcements and this week’s sermon notes! Remember, if you ever miss a sermon you can download this to your MP3 player!

Secure Abandon
Live Big: Ephesians 1:1-14 pt. 2
Three (More) Areas of Meditation
The Blessing of
1. Secure Knowledge: God lets us know about the end times so that we can live with passion for the gospel now.
2. Secure Purpose: God says that WILL be to the praise of His glory, that we need not fret about fulfilling our purpose in life and so we can be free to live taking great risks and freedom to do His will.
3. Secure Proof: We are given the Holy Spirit as a seal on our lives to give us daily reassurance that our salvation is secured. As we check back that we are indeed secure, we are given great motive to live full, rich, generous lives with others.
Weekly Application Exercises
1. Take some time this week to revel a bit in the knowledge of heaven and our future with God. What will heaven be like from what you know in the biblical testimony? How does that change your desires now, knowing that we have eternity to spend in an embodied state here on earth?
2. Imagine a life without the the presence of the Holy Spirit within. What difference does He make in your life? How do you experience and how have you experienced His work internally?
