God Mode…
Hey Harvest South Bay!
I’m so encouraged to see our congregation grow in it’s outreach as well as in our small group consistency. Let’s keep welcoming newcomers and making them feel that Harvest is a place they can find fellowship with believers and with the Lord!
Byron
Here’s last week’s notes and announcements!
God Mode
Live Like a Song: Psalm 129
Exposition/Passage Breakdown:
Introduction: Invitation to remember God’s faithfulness to Israel
Illustration of God’s faithfulness- that He “cut the cords” of the plowers
Imprecatory prayer: Prayer to foil the attempts of those who would oppose God’s kingdom
Increasing our Strength:
1. Reflect on God’s Faithfulness.
2. Realize we are Impervious.
3. Realign our Allegiance.
Weekly Application Exercises:
1. Reflect on God’s faithfulness to you: where do you see His guiding hand in your personal history? How has He delivered you in difficult times and especially when you have taken dangerous steps of faith?
2. Pray, take some time and make a short list of what big, faith-stretching steps He might be calling you to do now. Think of any grave consequences that might befall you when you set about completing your short list and reflect on today’s principles to salve those fears.
Parking Lot
Praise God for the Parking Lot! We’ll be scheduling some sort of “Completion Celebration” some day in the near future. Please thank Shawn Kuo in the Taiwanese Congregation for all of his hard work on this much needed project.
